P!nk doesn't like girls after all

Oh, make up your freakin' mind, would you?

Pink is not bisexual. Stop the presses.

For those of you who have not been closely following this breaking news story and don't know what's going on, the fashion-challenged singer supposedly came out as bisexual to Britain's News of the World but now she's back to denying it.  

Pink -- real name Alicia Moore -- reportedly said, "I'm not embarrassed about being bisexual. This is who I am." And that she'd be "just as happy with a new woman" if things didn't work out with husband Carey Hart – though exactly how happy that is, considering they were recently separated then reconciled, is anyone's guess.

"I'm not complicated," she allegedly said. "I sing about love in all its shapes, forms and colours."

She later Twittered cryptically on the subject, "i just read that im bisexual. so 1991. good thing people write articles about me so i can get my facts str8. i mean straight."

Now, Pink's rep is telling the New York Daily News that the interview was "entirely fabricated."

It actually doesn't matter to most of us one way or the other whether Pink likes girls or not. What is interesting is the question of why anyone would fabricate an entire interview and make this thing up. Is Pink so huge that making up a story about her bisexuality sends papers flying off the shelves? Really?

Wikipedia (I know, it's a terrible source but it will do for this particular purpose) says the News of the World's "fondness for sex scandals gained it the nicknames Sex 'n' Scandal weekly, News of the Screws and Screws of the World." 

The sex scandal rumour mill must be churning pretty slowly when "Pink is bisexual!" is the best you can do. In Britain, no less! Were no politicians gallivanting with strippers? Was nobody cheating on a royal or Amy Winehouse? Makes me think something else fishy is going on here. I don't know what, though.
