Peter Criss battled breast cancer
Starpulse says Peter Criss has revealed he battled breast cancer last year. The former KISS drummer is now using his experience to educate other men, urging them to get lumps tested - because women aren't the only victims of breast cancer.
The Cat says, "In '08, I was diagnosed with breast cancer... but (thanks to) my great doctor Alex Swistel and staff and the Lord above, who always looks over me, I am cancer-free today!!! I wanted to let you know men get it like women do. Don't be afraid to let someone know if you have a lump. Do the right thing for you and your loved ones and get it checked. Man or woman, there is no discrimination with breast cancer."
According to infobreastcancer.ca, male breast cancer is very rare but it still can happen. "All types of breast cancer seen in women can develop in men. In Canada, there will be 150 estimated new cases for 2005 of male breast cancer, and 45 deaths. In the USA, there will be 1,690 estimated new cases, and 460 deaths."

Good for Peter! As a woman whose father has also beaten this type of cancer, I am pleased he is informing men of the possibility that this can happen to anyone.
